When Colette first shared with me the kettlebell system, and having never seen a bell, I was a bit skeptical at first. However, after our first training session with a small bell I knew Colette was onto something. We have been training with kettlebell's now for many months and I have to say I now have more raw strength and power than I ever would have obtained with traditional gym/weights workouts.
Colette's training style is very instructive, safe, but tough. In the 3 years I have been training with Colette, not once have I had any discomfort in my weaker left shoulder.
Back to kettlebells: This morning Colette had instructed me to group certain exercises together. For example, swings, snatches, press, and squat, left side right side, then swing and walk 10 steps. She wanted me to do this routine enough times to get to the end of the grass field, about 60 yards. yeah right! NO way. Got about 2/3's of the way and had to stop. And for those of you who think you are tough... so am I, and Kettlebell has gotten me in the best shape of my life.
